Role: "The Bum" Main character, world famous model, Italian, Tracy's boyfriend.
Purpose: To show people that anyone can end up on the streets and in dire circumstances. The over-the-top idol character is used to attract people to the book, to make it palatable. Ultimately, I need to bring him to the street level so that people will sympathize with the homeless.
Education: High School, started college but got discovered as a model and dropped out before he even started.
Income: Millions
Introduced Scene: Ch 1 - 1 Up w/ the Day
All of ch 1 - (the way he looks, his emotional state, his circumstances in the present tense of the book). He is homeless, drug addicted.
3 - 7: Kicked Out - (the anger towards his parent's divorce and the angst of living in another culture have caught up with him).
3 - 9: Say Hello to Your New Friend - (how peer pressure affects Stef, he's open to taking something in to make him feel better - new friends, new culture, new headspace).
4 - 3: Call from Zurich - Stef has to examine his involvement with drugs in light of the trouble that Luigi is in.
4 - 4: The Need for Friends - Stefano grapples with the decision he made for taking heroin the first time. Talks about the importance of friends at that time in his life.
4 - 5: I'm In - Stef dives off the deep end into drug addiction. He rehearsed that he would say no but he did exactly what he knew better than doing.
4 - 7: 2nd Call from Zurich, 4 - 9 Wish You Were Here - Stef doesn't recognize it, but he's the only there for his father when Luigi's death is conveyed to him. This is a moment where the boy must be a man, in an awkward way, unknowingly. Just being there.
Ch 5: - the Discovery - all of this chapter. His physical description at his age at the time of this event is described, his relationship with his brother, his attractive nature to people, and a foreshadowing of himself as a bum through Bill the bum.
8 - 1: You're Flushing My Stash - Defining his boyish behavior as an addict.
1 - 3: & 8 - 9: Photo Shoot - shows a defining moment in Stef's modeling career. No matter how much he doesn't adhere to the standards of professionalism, it's his destiny to be the top model.
8 - 3: Milan Morning - Shows Stef's sweet side through interactions with young fans. His memories of soccer players come back. He imagines himself as a famous soccer player.
10 - 3: Bartowski - We see more of the rebellious behavior of Stef as a teenager through Bartowski's remembrances.
10 - 5 - Stef goes out of control. He's taken too many heavy drugs too fast and is having a psychotic episode from that and the over-reaching stress he's experiencing dealing with his father's death and threats/demands from the ones that killed him.
Unsure when he talks, never uncertain the way he looks. Dark, but innately resolute to Christ. Serendipitous but haunted and hunted by the dark side of his culture. Italian, incomparably attractive, quiet but intelligent, was always rebellious, humble at first, easily influenced by peers, a natural cool flow in his steps, carries himself well naturally, questions life, praying man, heroin addicted; mama's boy, wasn't into fashion as a boy, loved soccer.
6'1"? ice blue eyes, long sandy brown hair, chiseled physique, very masculine, clean as a model; scruffy, dirty as a bum, 18 when he meets Tracy
Wears: Wears blue jeans and collared shirts, and what he models, dresses fashionably, but youthfully when he's not dressing for someone else. He grabs something and throws it on.
Mannerisms: Has a confident look, but is not confident, sometimes helpless, sometimes self-destructive, likes to run his hands through his hair, especially when he's nervous.
Posture/Gait: Has a natural stride that fits perfectly on the runway, very smooth flowing, hippie-like, confident without trying.
Speech: Soft spoken most of the time, doesn't talk much, sometimes talks with his hands, can get deep with his conversations, cusses.
Circumstances:
Like Someone: Me (from introspective view, from inside, psychologically, drug addiction), Massimiliano Neri (business savy), Ben Dahlhaus (look)
Comments: You know this guy. Inside, he's you. His being Italian is attractive. The plots in the story are good. Keep running in this direction. His birthday is the same as a famous model, but I forgot which one.
School Activities: The rebel, with what he wore and how he acted. It was not act, but an issue of the heart.

Turning Points: Father's divorce, discovery at Tourmaline, at the end of the book when he cracks from the pressure.
Memories: Written into the story already. See defining scenes. Mostly of his childhood, his modeling days, some moments with Luigi.
Describe as a Child: Momma's boy, fairly quiet. Competitive with his brother. Introspective.
Criminal Record: Kicked out of school in 9th grade, arrested on drug charges (heroin and cocaine) in Germany, busted for marijuana.

Friends: Jimi, Brad (the helper), Chris Longier, Tracy
Enemies: RC, Riccardo Cristonato, Antonio Nappali, the Italian Mafia
Perceived As:

Depends On: Tracy, Jimi, Tommy Hilfiger, Bobucci, Ford, Gianfranco Ferre, Hugo Boss
